FIRSTBORN CHILDREN ARE SMARTER THAN THEIR SIBLINGS ACCORDING TO SCIENCE

6

This would definitely be good news to firstborn children but bad news to those who are not firstborns. Do you really believe firstborns are the smartest?

Well according to science, firstborns are the smartest. Firstborns are literally smarter, better, faster and stronger than their siblings. Is this the reason why Steve Jobs, Sheryl Sandberg, Elizabeth Holmes or Albert Einstein are smart because they all have one thing in common – they are all firstborns.

The study conducted by the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) believes firstborn children do better than their younger siblings in school and other studies have shown that firstborns are generally more intelligent and score higher on IQ tests. They are also less likely to do drugs and get pregnant as teenagers.

So why are firstborns generally smarter? During the study, parents were asked how they would respond if their younger students brought home bad grades and they said they would be less likely to punish them, whereas they would’ve punished the first-born.

So according to the study, parents’ restrictions on their kids become less and less according to their birth order as a result, younger siblings school performance declines along with birth order.

So do you really think firstborns are smarter than their siblings?
