Marriage is a bigger deal for most men, and when a man decides it’s time to get married, he expects certain things from that woman he’d call wife.
Most men have what they expect from their future wife, both physically and behaviourally. While the physical attributes differ from men to men, the behavioural attributes are virtually similar among men.
1. TRUST
Men hold trust as a very important factor when choosing a wife; they expect the woman they are to marry to be trustworthy and remain true to them and them alone. Even men who cheat and who aren’t trustworthy want a trustworthy wife.
2. LESS DRAMA
Every man wants a peaceful home, and one without drama and tension. Every man would tell you that they are scared of drama queens, and it’s really true. Men want to settle with a woman who is peaceful and doesn’t really bring drama to the table.
3. A SUPPORTER
Men want their wives to be their chief supporter. Every man expects this from his wife; they want a woman who would support him through thick and thin, through the good times and bad times.
4. A MANAGER
Traditionally, a man is the head and breadwinner of the family while the woman is the manager of a home — and like some would say, she’s the neck of the family, and without her the head wouldn’t function. In reality, men expect the wife they are to marry to be good managers of the resources that come in and the home in general.
5. UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
Whether he’s in his best mood or his worst mood, men also want to be loved at all times by their wives. Men want this at all times, irrespective of what they do and don’t do.
6. RESPECT
Every man wants to be respected by that woman he calls wife; he wants to be seen in this light always and it would hurt his ego when his wife treats him unfairly, abuses him or treat him in a disrespectful manner.
7. INTIMACY
Every man expects to have an intimate marriage with his wife; men don’t only want sex but intimate moments with their partner. They want a wife that would be emotionally available to them, not one they would have to beg to get her attention or become intimate with.
8. HONESTY
Men don’t want to be lied to; they want their wife to be honest with them and avoid those numerous secrets women keep.
9. UNDERSTANDING
Men want to have an understanding wife that would listen to them, support them and one that would forgive them even when they make a mistake. Most men wouldn’t approve of a woman who’s hardhearted and who sticks to her will alone.
When a man is ready to settle down and get married, these are some of the behavioural attributes he expect from the woman he’s to marry.
