‘Money makes the world go round’ they say, and if care isn’t taken, money issues can turn around a happy home to an unhappy one.

People are extremely sensitive to the issue of money and care has to be taken when broaching this very important subject with your partner.

These are some of the common reasons couple have a lot of misunderstanding when it comes to money.

1. SECRET EXPENSES

As far as marriage is concerned, secret expenses are a sin against your partner. Many couples have money fight because of this act. When you make certain expenses without indulging your partner, you make them feel terrible and unrecognised, and this would definitely stir up a lot of negative emotions.

2. DIFFERENCE IN PRIORITY

Different strokes for different folks, right? A lot of the times, couples have different priorities; while the man might have a goal top of his priority list, the woman might feel this other goal should be the priority; this might seem little, but this difference in priorities often cause big issues.

3. LIES AND DISHONESTY

When you lie about your finances or you lie about certain expenses, it’s a huge form of dishonesty, and it’s also infuriating; acts like this make couples fight and quarrel all the time.

4. OVERSPENDING

Making money is no joke; so everyone has a bit of sentiments as to how money should be spent. However, when one partner disregards this and spends recklessly, it could annoy the other partner and this could lead to a fight.

Not everyone understands the value of money and know how to manage money properly, and this has led to a lot of issues in many marriages.

5. DIFFERING MONEY VIEWS

When partners don’t have the same ideology regarding money, this could pose a problem. Different money views make couples fight all the time, and it’s very difficult for couples to reach a compromise when they have differing money views; it would take a lot of understanding for this to happen.

Money fights are common in marriages; but if well handled, the marriage would get better and if poorly handled, the marriage would suffer.
