8 THINGS HAPPY COUPLES DO THAT UNHAPPY COUPLES HAVE NO IDEA OF

cover

The difference between happy and unhappy couples lies in what they do. Every relationship is the product of an action; it’s the actions of both partners that would determine whether the relationship would be a happy one or an unhappy one.

These are some of the things happy couples do that unhappy couples take for granted.

1. THEY UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF TOGETHERNESS

Happy couples pay attention to each other; they value each other’s presence and try to spend time with each other as much as they can. Happy couples love each other and they know that being together wouldn’t only make them happy, but it would also boost their love.

Meanwhile, unhappy couples seek for reasons and excuses to be apart from each other — and this is a very big difference.

2. THEY SHOW THEY LOVE EACH OTHER

While unhappy couples claim to love each other, happy couples show it. To happy couples, it doesn’t just end at what they say, but what they do is as well important. Happy couples spend every day of their lives showing each other how much they love and value each other; unhappy couples clearly don’t do this.

3. THEY BUILD FRIENDSHIP

To the unhappy couple, a relationship is merely a relationship, but the happy couples don’t just have a mere relationship; they build friendship and togetherness.

4. RESPECT

In an unhappy relationship, both partners expect the other to respect them; no one is ready to show respect but expects to be respected. However, in a happy relationship, but partners show each other respect; they respect each others feelings and try not to hurt each other.

5. THEY TRY TO RESOLVE ISSUES MATURELY

While the unhappy couples practice retaliation, malice, keep scores and harbour grudges, happy couples seek for means to resolve every issue; they freely communicate with each other and they don’t take it out on each other.

Even after a quarrel, happy couples come back to each other and they try to learn from each mistake.

6. THEY HELP EACH OTHER GROW

The support system in a happy relationship is what thrills me the most. Unhappy couples focus on their individual lives, while happy couples help each other become better and they support each other in whatever they do.

7. THEY OWN UP TO THEIR MISTAKES

In happy relationships, they own up to their mistakes; each partner is willing to acknowledge his or her wrong and they both move on afterwards. This is almost impossible in unhappy relationships; they both blame each other and no one is willing to be held accountable for a wrong.

8. THEY SURPRISE EACH OTHER

This is one way happy couples keep their romance intact; they surprise each other, not only on birthdays and anniversaries, and they also celebrate each other’s success.

The unhappy couple believes that gifts and surprises should only be done on birthdays and other special occasions.

Happy couples have happy relationships because they put in efforts daily to make their relationship happy. Unhappy couples do the opposite of what happy couples do.
