No one goes into a relationship with the intention of being unhappy, getting hurt or just to while away time. We all enter relationships because we feel we deserve to get something nice in that relationship. Whether we get that which we want is another discussion for another day, but there are so many things we all deserve to get in a relationship; I mean these are the reasons we enter a relationship in the first place.
1. ATTENTION
Imagine a relationship where your partner doesn’t give you any attention. We all deserve to get attention in our relationships; it’s a singular sign that every other thing in that relationship is worth it.
2. LOVE
What’s the need for the relationship if there isn’t that special feeling of love? That feeling that someone means the world to you and you also mean the same to that person.
3. FRIENDSHIP
Relationship shouldn’t only be about love, it should also be about friendship. We deserve to get that wonderful friend in our partner; with this, the relationship would blossom.
4. HAPPINESS
We all deserve happiness in our relationship; we even enter relationships because we feel it would make us happier. We all deserve that partner that would make us happier even when the world gives us reasons not to be.
5. RESPECT
Respect makes a relationship valuable; respecting your partner and being respected in return would make the relationship have more value.
6. HOME
A relationship should feel like home; it should be a safe haven, a place where you feel at peace.
7. ROMANCE AND PASSION
A relationship without romance is like watching a movie without audio; romance and passion adds that fuel that keeps the relationship burning.
8. FAITHFULNESS
Having a partner that you know wouldn’t cheat on you bring a good feeling; it creates that assurance and certainty that you’re on the right track.
9. TRUST
Just like faithfulness, trust is another essential that we all deserve in a relationship; a lack of it would create uneasiness, tension and even friction.
10. UNDERSTANDING
Understanding makes a relationship easier; relationships are harder when couples don’t have an understanding of each other. Understanding creates peace, builds friendship and creates love and harmony.
11. LAUGHTER
There is hardly anything that’s as fulfilling as joy and laughter; when you have this in your relationship, it’s an indication that you’re happy.
12. SOMEONE WHO MAKES YOU BETTER
A relationship shouldn’t take you backward; instead it should make you a better person, better than where you were previously.
13. A LOYAL SUPPORTER
We all deserve that partner who is our number one fan, one who is supportive of you and is hell-bent on making you better than you ought to be; one who believes in your dreams.
14. HONESTY
Honesty is a virtue, and it’s one that makes relationship easier; it builds trust and makes every other thing less complicating.
15. FUN
A relationship shouldn’t be all to serious; like they say about Jack — ‘all work and no play makes him a dull boy’. Fun makes a relationship lively; it makes couples happier… and always remember: you’re never too old to have fun.
We all deserve the best in a relationship; but you only deserve that which you’re ready to give.
