Men love it when they have a trophy lady as girlfriend, and some even go on to marry such trophy ladies. A trophy lady is that kind of lady you know isn’t really good for you but you keep her just because she’s extremely beautiful, classy and stylish; the kind of lady that make heads turn wherever she goes. Quite a lot of men keep such women in their lives just to boost their image and reputation amongst friends and the entire society.
The trophy lady might not be good for a man, but some keep her at all cost, no matter the impact she would have on their pockets. When a man has such a trophy lady, he goes over the odd in the relationship just to make sure he keeps her happy, and that usually comes at a high cost. But is that what really a relationship stands for?
Some men have ladies that are too expensive for them, not even because they are trophy ladies, but because of their emotional dispensation towards that woman. They are emotionally connected to that woman that they cannot live without such a woman; such emotions are sometimes ridden upon, as the woman would see everything to gain if she also doesn’t have much feelings for her man. Some ladies go as far dating only men who are going to take care of their usually very high needs (or wants as the economist would call it).
The aforementioned examples points at situations that makes a woman too expensive for her man; there are countless other illustrations that could fit in such bill; but is that what really a relationship stands for? A relationship should aim to make the two partners happy and better, that is why couples in relationships ought to bring out the best in each other.
Any relationship that brings you harm, makes you unoriginal, and is one-sided is a relationship that should be avoided. A lady that’s too expensive for her man is the first to usually bail out once the chips are down; she’s only interested in greener pastures. Men with such ladies live a dangerous lifestyle because they can’t save, plan, invest or even use their money on tangible things; many even go as far entering debts just so that they can keep that trophy they call ‘girlfriend’.
Any relationship that wouldn’t make you grow as a person is hardly ever worth it; a relationship should be likened to a two-edged sword that sharpens each other. When you have to spend more than is required to keep a relationship then that relationship is too expensive for you, and continuing in that relationship can be compared to a business that never makes profit — it’s bound to fold over time.
