THE GIFT AND CURSE OF S*X

From the onset, sexuality just seems to be a huge cloud that hovers around one’s life; it’s importance, when it’s a crime (like in the case of rape and an adult having s*x with a minor), virginity, being a slut, sexual starvation, reproduction and all manner of activities that relates to the kingpin – s*x just seems to hover around human life.

There would always be a divide between religion and free thinkers when it comes to sex; religion seems to have this extreme views on sex in comparison to those who are liberal minded.

Religion and the liberal minded move at parallel pace as they just wouldn’t have close to the same views on s*x. While religion places emphasis on sexual purity, the other seems to favour being open minded s*x wise; this has in a way created an imaginary line between people who really want to have s*x for sheer pleasure and people who feel that pleasure should only come when it’s time for reproduction.

While some are bound by their religious environment, others are held hostage by the free thinkers in the society while the remaining are bound by a combination of both, so it’s more like there is this judgmental approach to s*x no matter which path you choose. By this I mean religion would judge you if you have s*x (outside marriage especially) while anyone that’s passed through college and still a virgin would tell you how people mocked them because of their reluctance to let go of their closed circuit unit (you know what I mean).

If you ask me, the problem is everyone just seems to be concerned with everyone’s sexuality; a teen is bound by parents who tells her not to have s*x and the environment around her tells her – if you don’t have s*x you’re ‘uncool’; to that young kid, it’s more like there is no sitting in the middle, whatever action she takes she would be judged by society.

Also, one in the religious settings is being closely watched by other religious followers and he/she also does same by watching other followers, so it’s like everybody is on the throat of everybody, there is no impulse to act on how you feel instead you act how society wants you to.

Every sexual act would always be judged, even to the least masturbation and watching of pornographic movies; so many would preach against s*x but would still go behind the curtains to help themselves out by achieving self-orgasm which only them would know about; going by religion, even that is a sin, so it’s a case of not practicing what you preach.

I’ve studied human behaviour in relation to s*x and what I’ve observed is that everyone is going to pay attention to you as far as s*x is concerned; the liberal minded, the free thinker, the religious fanatics, your peers and the entire society; it’s just a cycle that would just keep revolving.
