SOCK RULES EVERY MAN SHOULD KNOW

So many men sabotage their style by wearing the wrong kind of socks. Have a glance at these socks rules to see if you are breaking any of the rules

1. DRESS SHOES SHOULD GO WITH DRESS SOCKS

Wearing athletic socks with dress shoes ruins your outfit. Dress shoes go with dress socks.

2. WHITE SOCKS SHOULD BE WORN FOR SPORTING ACTIVITIES ONLY

This rule has to be the most violated socks rule. White socks should be worn only when you are visiting the gym. Avoid wearing white socks if you are not visiting the gym.

3. DON’T ROLL OR FOLD YOUR SOCKS

Avoid rolling or folding your socks as this makes your ankle look bulkier. You should always wear your socks pulled straight up as this creates a lean, coherent silhouette with even the most narrow-leg trousers.

4. WEAR ANKLE SOCKS WITH SHORTS

Wearing socks with shorts is another common sock mistake most men make. You should instead wear ankle socks that are not overly visible when you wear them.

5. CHANGE YOUR SOCK COLLECTION REGULARLY

You should invest in new socks at least once every six months to a year. This is necessary because socks that are worn out, have holes or are seriously faded can devastate your outfit.

6. MATCH YOUR SOCKS WITH YOUR TROUSERS

The colour of socks you wear should be dictated by your trousers and not shoes. Brown trousers should go with brown socks while black trousers should go with brown socks. This rule should be applied when wearing dress trousers or casual trousers but it doesn’t apply to jeans.
