Most men watch porn with or without the knowledge of their partner as they see it a form of entertainment or means of getting some knowledge that could help them in the bedroom.
However, researchers at Indiana University and the University of Hawaii, Manoa have advised men to quit watching porn as it isn’t good for their relationship.
According to the study published in the Human Communication Research., men who watch porn in intimate relationships are more likely to be less satisfied with their sex life, and their partner.
To arrive at this conclusion, the researchers looked at more than 50,000 participants from 10 countries, and analysed their sexual and overall relationship satisfaction and sexual self-esteem and body image in relation to their porn-viewing habit, Medical Daily reports.
The researchers found while watching porn has no damaging effect on a woman and her sexual life, but the same can’t be said of men.
The researchers revealed watching porn leads to men having unrealistic expectations for sex, leading to disappointment with their sex life.
