According to the research, people who wear glasses are more likely to be intelligent.
The researchers examined more than 4,600 Germans between the ages of 35 and 74 that have myopia.
The study which was published in the journal Ophthalmology found that higher levels of school and post-school professional education are associated with a more myopic refraction.
The researchers concluded that people with higher educational achievements more often were myopic than individuals with less education.
