Cheating means different things to different people, and different people show different jealousy levels and emotions to cheating.
A study from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology looked at how men and women respond to different types of cheating.
The researchers asked 1,000 participants to fill out questionnaires.
The research which was published in the November 2015 issue of Personality and Individual Differences found that jealousy is an evolutionary response. For men, sexual infidelity threatens their chances of generating their own offspring. However, jealousy is higher in women when it involves emotional cheating
