A study has found that adultery and blazing rows between a couple isn’t the primary reason couples get divorced.

According to the research carried out by JMW Solicitors, the primary reason couples get divorced is because of our spouse’s irritating habits.

The divorce lawyers found that everyday annoyances are a more common reason for divorce than official reasons cited in legal documents.

According to data from the Office of National Statistics, ‘unreasonable behaviour’ was the main ground in 54 percent of divorces granted to wives in England and Wales in 2014 while adultery accounted for 13 percent.

Some of the ‘unreasonable behaviour’ that has destroyed homes include online gambling, porn, patronising nicknames, abandoning personal hygiene and dressing badly.

Others include dogs, horses or cats were put before their husband or wives, Daily Mail reports.
