IS IT HEALTHY TO TAKE RELATIONSHIP BREAKS?

I think relationship breaks are healthy, depending on the situation at hand. If you just wake up one morning and feel you should take a break from your relationship, then that’s wrong. Relationships shouldn’t be a bulb you can switch on and off at will. When you take unnecessary breaks from the relationship, you toy with your partner’s emotions and you could kill your relationship as well.

However, when the relationship between two partners become too toxic, they could decide to take a break from the relationship, give each other time off to heal from the hurt they have had from the relationship and then decide to continue or end the relationship.

Relationship breaks could also give couples a chance to clear their heads, think about their relationship better, think about what went wrong and how they can strengthen their ties.

Also, it could give couples a chance to miss each other, and understand how much they mean to each other.

Relationship breaks aren’t bad at all, but it isn’t something you should just do for flimsy reasons. Many couples have taken breaks off their relationships and came back stronger, and many have taken breaks and decided they should move on with their lives.
