BALD MEN HAVE A LOWER SPERM COUNT, STUDY SAYS

baldness

Baldness has always be seen as a sign of a man’s virility but a study has claimed that those who lose their hair while young – at about 30- may in fact be less fertile.

According to the study published in the journal Dermatologica Sinica, sperm volume count was nearly 60% lower in men with moderate to severe hair loss.

The researchers who carried out a series of tests on men with an average age of 31 and with normal to mild hair loss and moderate to severe hair loss also found that hormonal changes associated with hair loss may also adversely affect semen.

It has always been believed that bald men are very virile based on the idea that they have higher levels of testosterone which is also the cause of their hair loss but this research seems to prove this theory wrong.
