There are two types of women basically, the one who wants a man for who he is and the one who wants a man for what he is; but a lot of the times men find themselves going after women who want them for what they are and still blame women for their perceived poor judgement and decision.
Worse still, I’ve seen a lot of men leave women who have been with them and supported them through their struggles to be with women who only care about their success. So in my opinion, both sexes can point accusing fingers at each other.
Success is endearing; like they say ‘success has many fathers’. Being successful is attractive, so you would find not just women, but men as well being attracted to you for your success. It isn’t just with men, men are also attracted to women that are successful in their fields, and the women also face hard decisions in knowing who really loves them for who they are.
Also, you can’t expect a woman to fall for a man who isn’t motivated in life, has no zeal and plan for a proper future, who doesn’t care about tomorrow. Everyone wants what’s best for them and I don’t think anyone (male or female) would love a future with someone who isn’t just cut out to succeed in life.
A good woman would see the good in you and love you for who you really are; but a lot of men would choose a trophy woman over that good woman.
