9 WAYS TO KEEP YOUR MAN EVEN AFTER HAVING KIDS

Cute family

There has been a negative trend in marriages for the past years. A man meets a woman; they fall in love, start a relationship and even move it up to marriage. They have a happy marriage and the kids come in….then hiccups and then divorce.

What is really wrong? Children are meant to be a source of joy to a home, but why do many marriages crumble after their arrival?

Research even suggests that married couples without children are happier than those with children. Another research suggests that 50% of all the children born to married parents today will experience the divorce of their parents before they are 18 years old.

This means something goes wrong in many marriages after a child is born. It shows that couples stop doing what they used to do when the love was blazing.

This article looks at things from a woman’s perspective, and how to keep her man even after having kids.

1. STILL GIVE YOUR MAN ATTENTION

Yes, it might not be easy; you have work, you have the baby to take care of and a lot of other things to do. You might feel tired easily and spend your spare time sleeping, which is quite justifiable. But a marriage needs work too to survive; your man still needs that attention, even though he ought to be understanding as well. Humans are built to crave attention, and a lack of attention from someone you care about can build negative thoughts. Still give your man that attention even after the baby comes; it’s very important, and a lack of it can cause problems gradually.

2. COMMUNICATION IS STILL IMPORTANT

Communication is an integral part of every relationship, and it’s even more needed in marriage. Listen to him, and air your views too. Keep in touch with your man always; send him cute romantic messages even when you’re at work or he’s at work. See some romantic messages here.

3. BE ROMANTIC

Never let the romance die in your marriage; a lack of it is what makes marriages boring. Plan romantic dates with your man, be spontaneous and thrill your man with romantic gestures.

4. MAKE TIME FOR FUN

Fun keeps a certain level of energy in the marriage. One mistake many married people make is thinking they are too old to have fun. You’re never too old to have fun with your special someone.

5. MAKE TIME FOR SEX

Sex is a very important part of marriage, but sometimes couples take it for granted. A lot of husbands starve of sex after their first child is born and it keeps going down with each child. Make regular time out for some good sex with your man, and be sure to thrill him too.

6. YOUR LOOK STILL MATTERS

This is another place many women get it wrong after the children come. Your looks always matters. Inasmuch as you don’t have to be in a competition to keep your man, you have to admit that there are many good-looking women out there, and he has eyes to admire their beauty too; he isn’t blind. Work on your shape, dress well, take care of yourself, and keep it always hot at home… he would love it.

7. DON’T BE THE NAGGING WIFE

Nagging is one trait that can make your man tired of you easily, and somehow, the stress of coping with children can turn even a quiet woman to a nagging one if care isn’t taken. Don’t be that nagging wife, no matter what.

8. MAKE TIME OUT

Always try to have that ‘we time’ with your man and your man alone. During that time, keep talks of the children aside and focus on just the two of you; this would help keep the bond intact.

9. NEVER TAKE YOUR MAN FOR GRANTED

It’s easy to take things for granted especially when the kids come; it’s a common mistake many couples make and one they should avoid at all cost. Try to be supportive of him and never take his love, attention and affection for granted.

No matter how tired you are, always try to spend five minutes each day to talk about how your day went with your man, listen to his, talk about everything and sleep in his arms.
