Your properties and physical assets can be stolen, and you wouldn’t get them. Your house could be burgled and you could lose many of your valuables; there are just so many physical things people could steal from you, with or without your permission.
There are also things people can never steal from you; those things are yours for the rest of your life, and the only way you can lose them is when you let people steal them.
These are some of those things:
1. KNOWLEDGE
What you know is deeply rooted in your brain, and knowledge is accrued over a period of time. The only way you can let people steal the knowledge you’ve gained is by letting unknowledgeable people distort your thinking; by giving them a chance to sway or influence you from that which is good and right to something wrong.
2. YOUR PASSION
What you love, what your heart beats for, what can’t make you sleep at night, what you totally live for — that’s your passion, and no one can steal that from you, except you let them.
3. YOUR CHOICES
It’s up to you to make certain choices in life, and as far as you’re mature enough, then no one else can make those choices for you. Your choices are always up to you to make, and the only reason your choices can be influenced, is because you let them.
4. WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT YOURSELF
What you think about yourself, how much you value yourself, how you see yourself, is totally up to you, and no one can take this away from you, except you let them.
5. YOUR HAPPINESS
Contrary to popular belief, your happiness is up to you to decide; you can be happy because you choose to be happy, and you can be unhappy because you choose to let people, situations and circumstances kill your happiness. In essence, your happiness is up to you; it’s your choice.
6. YOUR FOCUS
You get distracted because you want to be distracted. The ability to stay focused and determined is actually up to you.
7. HEART
Who you choose to love, how you truly feel, the things you care for, the kindness you have in your heart — these things are totally up to you to decide and no one can steal them from you.
These seven things are up to you, and no one can actually steal them, except you let them.
