Trust isn’t given on a platter of gold; it’s earned and deserved. What a person says or do or how a person behaves is what will inspire trust.
When you trust someone whom you aren’t supposed to trust, you’ll be deceived, heartbroken and you’d end up hurt and disappointed a lot of the times.
If your partner shows any of these signs, then that person isn’t really worthy of your trust.
1. THEY AREN’T DEPENDABLE
Dependability is a vital aspect of trust. If your partner isn’t reliable or dependable then the love wouldn’t feel right, and of course trusting what they say will only end up with you getting hurt a lot of the times.
2. THEY ARE INCONSISTENT
A trustworthy person is consistent; such a person isn’t reliable today and unreliable tomorrow. A trustworthy person is consistent every day. But a partner who’s here today and there tomorrow shouldn’t be deemed trustworthy. Trust is built on consistency.
3. THEY WON’T MIND TELLING YOU A LIE
Anybody who wouldn’t mind telling you a lie isn’t trustworthy; a partner who would rather lie than tell the truth isn’t worthy of trust.
4. THEY’RE NOT THERE FOR YOU
A trustworthy partner will always be there for you, or at least try to be there for you. But a partner who isn’t trustworthy will rarely be there for you; they aren’t loyal to you and you cannot count on them when you need them most.
5. THEY ARE SECRETIVE
Partners who hide their phones from you, hide information from you and create a barricade to certain aspect of their lives shouldn’t be deemed as trustworthy. A trustworthy partner will let you into his life, an untrustworthy partner wouldn’t.
6. EXCUSES
Partners who always have an excuse for everything, who would rather have an excuse than do something that they ought to do are never trustworthy people.
7. PARTNERS WHO CAN’T TAKE RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THEIR ACTIONS
Partners who tend to dodge their responsibilities and then fail to take responsibilities for their actions are also untrustworthy. Partners like these will have tons of excuses and will rather pour the blame on someone else rather than take responsibility for their actions.
Trust shouldn’t be given for free; a person who shows these signs above shouldn’t be deemed trustworthy.
