There was a time it was totally odd to pair your suit jacket with a pair of jeans, but not anymore, you can rock your suit jacket and jeans, and look really fashionable.
This is just how you do that:
1. WEAR A FITTED JACKET
If the jacket isn’t fitted then it just wouldn’t be fashionable; wear a jacket that fits and you would be good to go. This is the first rule and it’s highly important.
2. THE JACKET SHOULD BE STYLISH
Not every jacket can pull jeans and jacket combination to great effect. If you have that 1970 classic suit jacket, you shouldn’t bother pairing them with your jeans. To pull a fashionable jacket on jeans combination, the jacket should be stylish, fashionable and classy.
3. THE COLOUR OF THE JACKET
The favourable colours you can wear on your jeans are black, navy blue, grey and charcoal grey — these colours would rock your jeans to good effect.
4. THE COLOUR OF THE JEANS
The colour of the jeans shouldn’t match the colour of the jacket, but it should complement it.
5. THE JEANS
Of course, baggy jeans, worn out jeans, faded jeans are out of it. Wear fitted jeans with no sign of distress.
6. THE OCCASION
The occasion also matters; you shouldn’t wear a jacket and jeans to a formal occasion. This combination would only fit a semi-formal and informal occasion where there wouldn’t be need for suit and tie. This combination would also fit a wedding occasion.
7. ROCK IT WITH CONFIDENCE
Confidence also matters; confidence is the icing on the cake that would make your looks perfect. You shouldn’t don this combination if you don’t have the confidence to do it.
