6 THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT GRUDGES

People keep grudges against their partners, their friends, family members, colleagues at work, and in everywhere they find themselves, they keep grudges.

To these people, keeping grudges is healthy and normal, but it isn’t, and I would share why.

1. IT DOESN’T SOLVE ANYTHING

Holding grudges never solves a thing, ever. You can hold a grudge against someone for many years, and nothing would happen; it wouldn’t ease the situation, provide a solution or ease off what happened — this makes holding a grudge pointless in the first place.

2. IT FURTHER KILLS RELATIONSHIP

Grudges further kills the relationship. When you keep a grudge, your relationship with that person would automatically begin to decline, and if the grudge isn’t let go of, your relationship with that person would continue to suffer.

3. IT’S STRESSFUL

Grudges are stressful; it makes you unhappy, anxious, you think a lot, you find it hard to sleep, and it even takes away your thoughts. You won’t have peace of mind when you keep grudges.

4. YOU WOULD BE BITTER AND UNHAPPY

Grudges would leave you feeling terrible, bitter and unhappy. You can’t live a free and happy life when you keep grudges.

5. YOU FEEL DISCONNECTED WITH PEOPLE

Grudges could make you feel disconnected with people; grudges would take over your thoughts, feelings and emotions, and this would make you feel uneasy and disconnected from other people.

6. YOU BOIL OVER WHENEVER YOU SEE THAT PERSON

Imagine holding a grudge and you then see the person. Anxiety and anger would step in, your stomach would tighten up, your countenance would change and you would lose your joy all of a sudden.

 

From these reasons above, you can notice a pattern; you would never be free, happy and comfortable when you keep grudges. In other words, you suffer the most when you hold a grudge against someone.
