6 THINGS IN LIFE YOU SHOULD CHOOSE WISELY

There are some things in life you don’t get to choose; your date of birth, your country, your family, the colour of your skin, your height. These things are natural, they are given to you freely, and you don’t really get to choose, neither do you decide.

There are also certain things you have to choose in life, because these things are very important; they can help shape your life or break it.

1. WHO YOU CALL FRIEND

Friends are an important part of our lives, and we can hardly survive without them. However, not many people choose their friends wisely, and choosing the wrong friends can be very harmful. We’ve seen people choose friends who brought their downfall, led them to crime, destroyed their relationships, stagnated their career and filled their minds with negativity.

Also, friends who don’t have a positive impact in your life or who are jealous of your success in life shouldn’t really be friends with you. You should choose your friends wisely.

2. WHO YOU GIVE YOUR HEART TO

This is another area where people make wrong choices. People give their hearts to those who don’t really care about them, who would hurt them and people who are only there for selfish reasons. You should be careful with whom you give your heart to.

3. YOUR WORDS

What you say, how you say it and who you say it to should be put into consideration. Many people get into trouble because they don’t choose their words carefully. We’ve seen many relationships fail because words weren’t chosen wisely.

Your words have greater power than you know, and could either heal or hurt. Choose what you say wisely.

4. YOUR TIME

Whom you spend your time with, where you spend your time and what you spend your time doing would result in your being productive or unproductive. Your success or failure lies in what you do with your time.

5. WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT

Guard your thoughts wisely. A popular verse in the Bible says “as a man thinks in his heart, so is he”. If you think about failing, you would fail; if you think about succeeding, you’re on the path to success.

What you think about is what you really turn out to be and is who you really are.

6. WHAT YOU SAY “YES” TO

Don’t be a person that says “yes” to everything. Have a standard, measure up what it is before you say “yes” to it, and if you feel you should say “no”, then say “no”.

A lot lies in these six things; choosing them wisely would help you a lot, and choosing them wrongly would hurt you in life.
