6 COMMON FORMS OF ANGER ISSUES YOU SHOULD KNOW

1

Anger is a strong feeling, which comes with emotions that are hard to control and push you to do things you wouldn’t ordinarily do.

Some people have anger disorders that they can’t control, and this affects their relationship with their partners, friends and family.

These are 6 common forms of anger disorders below:

1. VOLATILE ANGER

Volatile anger involves sudden or spontaneous bouts of excessive or violent anger. It just comes suddenly and unexpectedly, and is highly violent. It might not last for long, but it leaves a sudden impact.

2. CHRONIC ANGER

Compared to volatile anger, chronic anger is prolonged and can impact the immune system and lead to other mental disorders. Chronic anger is most dangerous to one’s mental health; it makes one restless and doesn’t leave the mind any time soon. It pushes a lot of people to conceive angry thoughts for a very long time.

3. OVERWHELMED ANGER

Overwhelmed anger is caused by life’s demands — when one feel that life’s demands and pressure are too much to cope with. This anger is targeted at self, family, society and just anyone that could take a share of the blame. Overwhelmed anger is most often as a result of disappointment, and it could be suicidal.

4. SELF-INFLICTED ANGER

Self-inflicted anger is targeted at one’s self and may be caused by feelings of guilt and regrets.

5. PASSIVE ANGER

Passive anger is usually repressed and people experiencing this kind of anger may not even realize they are angry. Passive anger gives a blow to your emotions and may be displayed as sarcasm, apathy or meanness. You could be involved in behaviours such as skipping school or work, alienating friends and family, or performing poorly in professional or social situations.

To outsiders, it may look like you are intentionally sabotaging yourself, but to you, you just feel withdrawn and out of place.

6. JUDGEMENTAL ANGER

Judgmental anger is directed toward others and may come with feelings of resentment. Judgmental anger is targeted at others, and makes you hold grudges towards them.

These are the most common forms of anger issues people have.
