There’s nothing worse than falling for a man who inflicts violence on women – it’s like digging your own grave, and the truth is once you get in their grip, it’s very difficult to break loose from them. I agree that women fall for men like this because they come disguised as good, responsible people, so it’s quite hard to tell who they really are, but if you’re very observant and attentive to happenings around you, there’s no way you wouldn’t notice some of the telling signs.
No matter how pretentious a person is, they can never entirely cover up their true nature…it may take a while, but eventually, there’ll certainly be some slip-up. This is true with everyone, including men who have violence tendencies towards women. There are always telling signs, but sometimes, women are just too blinded by love to see them. It could be arrogance or a quick temper…you know, those little things you think are normal. In this article, I’ll be shedding light on some of the major character traits of men who can be violent towards women.
1. HE’S ARROGANT
Arrogant men have no respect for anyone – not for strangers, and certainly not for family and friends. And when someone has no respect for you, they can hurt you easily. If the man in your life (or maybe someone just asking you out) doesn’t take corrections from you or anyone, and is somehow insensitive to people’s feelings, it may be a telling sign that he may turn violent towards you in the future. Most wife beaters didn’t become that overnight, they often started off as something less obnoxious.
2. HE’S VERY POSSESSIVE/INSECURE
It’s okay to be jealous and want to protect one’s interests, but when it becomes extreme, there’s cause for concern. An extremely possessive man sees his woman as his territory and property; he hates it when other men come around her, even close friends, and any attempt by the woman to resist him can result to violence from the man. If he’s also the kind of man who has trust issues; who’s always worried he’s going to lose you or always feels you’re cheating on him, it’s not advisable to be with him because who knows, one day, he may finally lose it and decide to vent his anger on you with violence.
