4 THINGS YOU SHOULD SAVE YOUR RELATIONSHIP FROM

Two things — you either save your relationship or you destroy it. Just as you only have left or right, what you do to your relationship is either wrong or right.

There are some deadly things you should save your relationship from, or else the love, peace, joy and longevity in that relationship will become frustrated.

These are some of those things:

1. NAGGING AND COMPLAINING

Nagging and complaining are two identical traits that cause the same kind of havoc. If you find yourself nagging or complaining all the time, you are only destroying your relationship. I’m yet to see the first benefit of nagging/incessant complains. But I can assure you that their destructive powers are enormous.

2. BITTERNESS

Take away bitterness from your heart; a bitter heart cannot love. Make that conscious effort to kick bitterness away and plant joy and happiness. Happiness and bitterness aren’t just moods, they are also decisions. You can choose to be happy or bitter irrespective of what’s happening around you.

3. DISCONTENTMENT

You can’t have peace when you are discontented; you need peace to thrive and one way to kick discontentment is to look within and not without. A lot of people have things working for them but are discontented with life simply because they keep looking at what others are doing and what’s going on in the lives of other people, forgetting that things are pretty good on their side. You can never find contentment when you are looking out of your window. Social media hasn’t helped in any way, but you have the power to look within.

4. SELFISHNESS

If you can then add selflessness to your relationship in place of selfishness, your relationship will truly reach amazing heights.

Self-centredness is one thing that keeps destroying relationships time after time. Kick this out from your relationship and you will be amazed at how beautiful a true relationship can be.

A relationship ought to be beautiful, but it can never be beautiful when ugly things are brought into it.

No matter how beautiful a building is, you’d never want to be in it, if it stinks. But take away what’s making it stink and you’ll enjoy the beauty of that building. Likewise a relationship!
