4 THINGS YOU SHOULD KEEP SECRET

Secrets aren’t bad, and learning to keep secret is a strength that everyone should possess. Unfortunately, secret keeping isn’t in the dictionary of many.

So what are some of those things that should always be kept as secret?

1. YOUR GOALS AND DREAMS

Don’t go about sharing your dreams and goals with everyone you come across, else your dream will be killed. If you must share your dream, it should be with someone who will help you push that dream to reality or at least someone who will spur you on.

A quote reads: “Not everyone will understand your journey. That’s okay! You’re here to live your life, not to make everyone understand.”

Another quote reads: “Your time is too valuable to be distracted by negative people. Don’t let anyone talk you out of your dreams.”

2. A SECRET YOU WERE TOLD

If someone tells you a secret, then it should remain a secret. It’s an unfair thing to do when you leak out other people’s secret, especially when they were told to you in confidentiality.

3. SOMEONE ELSE’S DARK PASTS

If you happen to stumble upon someone’s dark pasts, let it be. There’s no point mocking that person or bringing out that part of their lives that has since been buried.

4. YOUR FAMILY’S DIRTY LINENS

Your family’s dirty laundry should never be washed in public. It’s a stupid thing to do when you make your family the topic of discussion. At the end of the day, you’re still part of the family and the same people you told about your family’s dirty secrets might be the ones who will use it against you. Be wise!

These four things should always be kept a secret. Keeping secrets should be a strength that everyone should have. No matter how itchy you are feeling to share that secret, don’t!
