10 THINGS LOVE ISN’T

We’ve always talked about what love is, finding true love and making it last. But what about the things love isn’t but a lot of people misconstrue for it?

This piece would open you up to some of those things love isn’t.

1. Love isn’t just an emotion as we have been made to believe; love is deeper than that. Love is an action; so love isn’t love until it’s expressed.

2. Love isn’t sex; it doesn’t need an attachment or a condition. The moment you place a condition for it then it’s no longer love.

3. Love is constant. Love doesn’t go up and down or off and on. Love is continuous; it never stops.

4. Love is worked out. Because you are in love doesn’t mean it ends there, that’s only the beginning of the work to make sure nothing takes that away. Love is commitment.

5. Love isn’t self-centred. When you are in love, it’s less about yourself and more about your partner. When both partners think this way, then it could be said that they are truly in love.

6. You don’t tell a lie to keep the love; you say the truth when you are in love because love isn’t deceitful.

7. Love isn’t once in a while. Love is every day; it’s in the things we do and we don’t do, it’s in what we say and what we don’t say, it’s in our reactions, our expressions, our communication. Love doesn’t come in certain periods; it isn’t periodical. Your every action defines whether you are in love with that person or not.

8. Love isn’t puffed up; it humbles you. Knowing that you are in love with someone sends a chill around your entire being that makes you humble.

9. Love comes from within; it’s inside out and not external. It brings you into a new level of self-awareness.

10. Love isn’t judgmental, love isn’t trying to be in control, love isn’t forced and love doesn’t coerce.

Are you in love?
