According to a Japanese study published in the Annals of Epidemiology, drinking just one cup of green tea a day could lower the risk to heart disease and premature death.

After analyzing the effects of green tea consumption om more than 90,000 people aged 40 to 69 years for over 4 years, the researchers found that the more green tea they drank, the less likely they were to die from heart disease, stroke and respiratory disease.

Drinking just one cup of green tea daily lowers the risk of early death by 10 perfect and this rises to 17 percent if you drink five or more cups of green tea daily.
