Remembering names could be quite a difficult task. You could meet someone today and just after minutes of meeting that person, their names have already slipped your memory.

Have you ever thought why it’s so difficult to remember the names of new acquaintances while you can easily remember their faces?

A video which was produced in 2015 by Mitchell Moffit and Greg Brown and released on their YouTube channel AsapSCIENCE went on to reveal why the brain is wired this way.

They explained that our brains are hardwired to recognise facial details due to the way our brains process arbitrary data – and why a lack of interest in a person can prevent us from storing this information.

Now you know why it can be so difficult to remember someone’s name.
