According to statistics provided by recruitment specialist, Michael Page, 72% of job seekers think its important to include a personal interest section in a CV but only 41% of recruiters actually agree with this tactic.

If you think adding a photograph to your CV will actually make it stand out, you might need to have a rethink because 74% of recruiters say this would actually weaken your CV.

Recruiters also said that job seekers should be conscious of their social media profiles when applying for jobs.

Recruitment specialist, Michael Page surveyed 2,000 members of the public and 480 recruiters and compared their opinions to find out what’s important in a CV.
