I’m surely going to hurt a lot of masculine hearts with this piece but the truth ought to be told; like they say “honesty is a virtue”. There is always this argument that go on between both sexes, it’s on who cheat the most; guys or ladies. Guys will wholly claim that ladies cheat the most but deep down in our minds we know that it’s just a big lie aimed at protecting our gender.
Drama once did a piece on why men cheat; he tried to explain men and what leads to their cheating behaviour. I think this goes even deeper than that, maybe it’s something psychological. The reasons why men cheat is one that beats both science and psychology put together.
Do men cheat because we see women as attractive? Do men cheat because there is this huge urge that we ought to release? Is it that men see ladies as a sport or they probably cheat just to show their masculine nature? Honestly, I think it’s just a combination of all put together and so many things we haven’t yet discovered.
One funny thing I’ve noticed is that guys now see cheating as a normal occurrence that it’s more like a huMAN right to cheat. It is never normal when a lady cheats; if a man finds out that his lady has been cheating on him even hell won’t withstand his fury (though he probably must have been cheating as well). But if it’s the man that’s caught cheating, he would ask for forgiveness and expects to be forgiven. Is this gender inequality at work or that it’s now a normal act for men to cheat? I need to get some facts right; it’s probably okay for a man to cheat but it isn’t for a lady; because that’s the general ideology men seem to have these days.
I’m not on the side of any or both sex cheating, I’m just trying to be honest; I’m with the team that believes that there should be no games in a relationship. If you want to play games, a snooker board is never hard to find but when it comes to relationship, hearts and emotions are involved, so it’s never ideal to toy with someone’s emotions just for some moments of pleasure; it’s unfair to say the least; one striking thing is men might not even know the main reason why they cheat, they just find themselves doing so and enjoying the fact that they actually do cheat.
After all said and done, we still need to fully know why men cheat? Why do men cheat; I ask once more.
