CHILD BEARING

This is perhaps the most common/ leading cause of post-marital weight gain in women. A woman who once was athletic and slender suddenly adds enormous weight as soon as she starts having kids, and no one really knows why, but child-birth is one of the reasons.

After child-birth, the body secretes hormones that trigger weight gain, so unless the woman is willing to work hard to fight it off, she’ll likely look bigger. Foods eaten during the pregnancy period also contribute.

 

EXCESSIVE EATING

Some women forget that eating too much without a corresponding plan in place to check it always tells on one. Some women will drink everything drinkable, eat all edibles, and sleep away afterwards, forgetting that food and fat are not that far off each other.

Of course, eating isn’t a bad thing in itself, however, the inability to control ones diet is dangerous.

 

LAZINESS

Laziness to work out of course. As mentioned already, child-birth comes with weight gain automatically, so the onus is on you as a woman to do your best to ensure it doesn’t affect you too much, at least. Rather than get registered at a gym to shed the excess weight after child-birth, a lot of women tend to sleep, and probably eat more food than ever.

 

STRESS

Dealing with stress as a single person is not easy and when marital brouhaha gets mixed up with all that, it becomes a lot more complicated.

Stress eating, is the easiest remedy for stress for most people and it is also the easiest way to an incredible amount of weight that would be hard to lose.

 

LATE NIGHT FOODS

If you have a good doctor or nutritionist, they’d have told you it’s bad to eat too late in the evening. This is because late night meals store up calories in your body and since most women love to skip the early morning exercise, those calories go on to get stored as fat.

 

BIRTH CONTROL PILLS

Most birth control pills contain substances that can add a few more pounds to a person’s weight.
