I know most ladies snoop through their man’s phone; probably nine out of every ten do this.
In a bid to monitor their man and confirm that they are not being cheated on, ladies check through a man’s phone; every chat, every message, every sent item is scrutinized carefully.
If you ask me, I think snooping through his phone every now and then isn’t worth the risk and I have my reasons why.
1. IT DOESN’T SOLVE ANYTHING
This is one simple truth, snooping through your man’s phone wouldn’t solve anything instead it would bring in way more problems than you can handle. If he’s really cheating on you, snooping through his phone won’t make him stop but it would make him more careful and you probably wouldn’t find anything in his phone anymore.
2. YOU KILL THE TRUST
For you to go through his phone in the first place shows that you don’t have trust in the relationship and this is even a bigger problem than going through his phone. This plainly shows that there are trust issues in that relationship and the remedy for this is even complex than merely snooping around.
3. YOU MIGHT MISINTERPRET THINGS
This is also another possibility. Sometimes text messages and chat may not really be what you take it for; snooping through his phone means you already have a suspicious mind and by this even the slightest of messages could be misinterpreted and this would mean you’ve succeeded in killing the trust even more.
4. YOU SPEND MORE TIME CHECKING HIM THAN HELPING YOUR RELATIONSHIP
There is no doubt about this; when you start checking his phone every minute of the day then that’s what would you would be doing for a long time, that’s what would occupy your mind; instead of thinking about how to grow your relationship, you would instead be focused on catching him cheat.
5. INSECURE
Snooping through your man’s phone is plain insecurity on your part and the more you snoop through his phone the more you increase your insecurity level. By now (that’s if you are a regular reader of Elcrema magazine) you should know what insecurity can do to your relationship; it can only take your relationship one place and it’s definitely not to the top.
6. SHOWS YOU ARE WITH THE WRONG PERSON
It may not be what you think but that’s what it is. Snooping through his phone shows mistrust and if you can’t trust the man you are dating, it just shows that you are with the wrong person. If you can’t trust him then don’t date him; TRUST is essential for the growth of EVERY relationship.
