If you want to lose fat, you probably need to start from the cause and discover why you are getting fat in the first place.

A study by fitness tracker Jawbone claims that the time you go to bed could be making you fat.

According to Jawbone, people who go to bed after 11pm are more likely to binge on junk food and alcohol.

“Early birds tended to eat healthier foods on the whole,” wrote Jawbone data scientist Kristin Aschbacher, according to Metro UK.

“This builds on our previous findings that people log more meals high in fats and sugars late in the evening.

“We hope this paints a picture of what a good night’s sleep might do.”

The study is based on data collected from hundreds of thousands of Jawbone UP users which is a fitness wristband that monitors exercise, sleep and which allows users to enter details on the alcohol and food they consume.
