1. Bleeding from your bottom and/or blood in your poo

2. A change in bowel habit lasting three weeks or more

3. Unexplained weight loss

4. Extreme tiredness for no obvious reason

5. A pain or lump in your tummy

Eating too much red meat and less vegetables and fibres increases the risk of having bowel cancer. Studies have also shown that eating and drinking healthily, being physically active and maintaining a healthy weight can help prevent bowel cancer.
