It’s no secret that a reasonable amount of women would rather be with an older man than a younger one, and a lot of factors have been said to be responsible for that trend. We take a look at some of these factors.
NEED TO HAVE A FATHER FIGURE
Some women grow up without their father, and for women like this, there’s a void that needs to be filled. The only way the void can be filled is by being with a man who cuts that fatherly figure. Women who find themselves in this position are mostly those who lacked the love of a father in their younger years.
MASCULINITY
Weird and funny as it sounds, there are women who prefer older men because they believe that they are more imposing and controlling than the younger ones because of their age. There are those who also do it because they think the older, the more caring.
PRESSURE
In some climes and cultures, marriage is a big deal, especially for women. In places like this, as a woman above 25 and unmarried, there’s a certain amount of pressure that you’re faced with. Pressure from society, pressure from family, etc, will make you tend to settle for just about whatever man comes your way, old or young.
FINANCIAL NEEDS AND MATERIALISM
Well, we can’t dispute this, can we? There are women who care so much about money and expensive gifts they’d never think twice about jumping to church with the next man who comes their way. Besides, let’s face it, older men tend to have more money than younger ones, so…
MATURITY
The older, the more experienced you get in life, right? To a lot of women, older men are more mature and responsible than the younger ones.
