To a lot of women, nagging is the best way to get your man do what you want. But does that really work? I doubt it.
If anything, nagging could kill the relationship between you and your man, and cause more drama and unnecessary tension.
How then can you get what you want without nagging?
1. CREATE A CONNECTION
Create a connection between you and your man; when you and your man have a close relationship, it would be easier to get him do what you want. But nagging would create a wall of disunity, arguments and defensiveness.
2. COMMUNICATE
Rather than nag, communicate; rather than criticise, talk to him. Have a clear, open and honest communication with your man. He would appreciate when you do this than when you nag.
3. BE VULNERABLE
Look for better ways to show how you feel than nag and complain about your man. As far as he loves you, he wouldn’t want to see you hurt. So, seek for ways to show how much you’re hurting; don’t suppress your hurt with anger and contempt.
4. DO NOT GIVE THE NEGATIVE FEELING A CHANCE
With nagging comes the feeling of anger, contempt, irritability and probably grudges. These are negative energies; do not give them a chance.
5. SHOW HIM CARE, NO MATTER WHAT
This might be hard, but it’s worth it. Even when you are angry with him over a mistake or over something he didn’t do; you shouldn’t do it in a manner that would show you don’t care about him. Still show him love, no matter what.
6. HAVE A RESPECTFUL APPROACH
Everyone wants to be respected. Having a respectful approach would solve a problem better than when you are being disrespectful. When your man acknowledges that you are being respectful to him, even though you are unhappy, he would do your will — if he really loves you.
7. UNDERSTAND THAT HE DOESN’T WANT TO FEEL NAGGED
Even though he’s wrong, he doesn’t want you to nag; you need to understand this.
8. KEEP IT SHORT AND SIMPLE
If you have something to say, keep it short and simple. No need for long talks, no need to be repetitive; the message would be passed well when it’s said once.
Before you call him lazy, insensitive, selfish and say that he doesn’t care; try these approaches. If that man loves you, he would most definitely show a different attitude.
