8 TIPS THAT WOULD TEACH YOU NOT TO GIVE UP

man thinking

A lot of people have big goals, huge dreams, promising talents, great visions but give up too easily at the first hurdle.

Life isn’t for the fainthearted; there are moments things might seem so impossible, you might get discouraged and feel you would never get there. Don’t let frustration set in; instead, that’s when you should be strong.

These tips would teach you how to be strong in those trying moments.

1. LEARN TO BE PATIENT

With great success comes great patience; “Rome wasn’t built in a day”, the popular saying goes. No one has achieved genuine success without this virtue called patience.

2. DON’T GIVE ROOM FOR NEGATIVE THOUGHTS

Negative thoughts are like weeds; if given a chance, they would overthrow the plants and take over the garden. When those negative thoughts start to creep into your mind, never give it a chance to settle.

3. FOCUS ON WHAT IS GOING ON FOR YOU

It’s so easy most times to think of what isn’t working for you and forget what’s working. Rather than focus on those negative thoughts draining your energy, focus more on what’s working for you, your dreams and where you are going.

4. DO AWAY WITH NEGATIVE PEOPLE

Negative people are dream killers; they would never see anything good in you, they would never support you and would never make any reasonable attempt to help you achieve your dreams. Do away with negative people; try to have positive minded people in your life.

5. ENVISION YOURSELF

One secret of successful people that keeps them going even when the chips are down is their vision. Successful people envision themselves to be great; they look at the picture, they see great things about their future and they dream wonderful dreams. This somehow keeps them going even when the odds are against them.

6. BE PASSIONATE

Passion is a huge source of energy; it’s easier to give up when you don’t have passion for what you are doing. But if you have the passion, there would be that extra desire to pursue your goals.

7. DON’T SEE FAILURE AS PERMANENT

When you see failure as a hindrance and as something permanent then you would fail, but if you see failure as a learning process and an opportunity to gain more knowledge and experience, only then you would achieve.

8. HAVE SHORT-TERM AND LONG-TERM GOALS

Having short and long-term goals are really important; they are good for motivation, would help you track your progress and would help you understand where you are going.

Remember, quitters never win and winners never quit.
