8 THINGS YOU SHOULD NEVER LIE ABOUT IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP

You should be with someone who you can be open and honest with because that’s the only way you can have a long-lasting relationship.

Here are 8 things you should never lie about in your relationship

1. YOUR NEEDS, WANTS AND DESIRES

Your relationship will fall apart before you know it if you lie about your needs, wants and desires. Be honest with your partner about your needs, wants and desires and your partner should do the same too.

2. YOUR EXES

You should never lie about your exes to your partner because it could rock the foundation of your relationship if he/she finds out from someone else. It’s important you are honest with your partner about the persons you have dated. You should also tell him a bit about each of your exes, so that he/she has some insight into your past.

3. THE FUTURE OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP

Never lead someone on if you think the relationship has no future. If you think it’s not working, admit it and be honest with your partner about it.

4. YOUR AGE

It’s wrong to lie about your age to your partner. Women are mostly guilty of this as they always quote the rule: never ask a woman her age. This rule shouldn’t stand when it comes to dating. Lying about your age would make you seem insecure and hurt your relationship in future.

5. WHO YOU HANG OUT WITH

If you find yourself hanging out with someone and you know that your partner wouldn’t be happy about it, then you shouldn’t be hanging out with that person in the first place. You create problems for your relationship the moment you start lying about who you are hanging out with.

6. YOUR HEALTH

If you want a relationship that would stand the test of time, it’s important you are honest with your partner about any health problems you might be having. Your partner would feel betrayed to find out you lied to him/her about your health.

7. HOW COOL YOU ARE WITH YOUR PARTNER HAVING A CLOSE FRIEND FROM THE OPPOSITE GENDER

I have seen several people tell their partner it doesn’t matter in the beginning of a relationship only for it to cause serious problems in the relationship later. If you aren’t cool with your partner having a close friend from the opposite gender, you must be honest with yourself and your partner and talk about it up front. Don’t tell your partner you’re “cool with it” when you’re not.

8. YOUR JOB

It’s wrong to lie about your job just so you can appear to be who you are not. Let your partner know the truth about where you work and how much you get paid and if he/she isn’t comfortable with it, then he/she isn’t the right one for you.
