8 PARTS OF THE BODY YOU SHOULD GIVE MORE ATTENTION IN THE BATHROOM

shower

We all know that ‘cleanliness is next to godliness’, but how many of us actually do take their time to wash their bodies thoroughly? Lol. Of course, no one is going to admit to not washing well enough, but it is a fact that not too many people like to pay good attention to every part of their body while they’re in the bathroom. In fact, I happen to know one or two persons who spend less than 5 minutes inside the shower. There is no way anyone can thoroughly wash their body clean in so short a time.

Research has shown that most people just get a ‘shower’ as against actually having a thorough wash, and that is not a healthy habit because we tend to pick up germs almost everywhere we go, and these germs can be harmful if left to remain on us for long.

Apart from the germs we pick up daily, most of us sweat on a daily basis as well, and that can cause some serious damages to our bodies. So, unless we wash thoroughly, we leave ourselves at the mercy of these harmful germs. In this post, I would shed light on some important but often ignored body parts that we must concentrate more on during shower time. Please, read on.

1. THE NECK AND BELOW THE JAW

The neck is an important part of the body, not just because it holds the head on the body, but also because it is one of the most active. We turn our necks more times than we can recount in a day, so most times, heavy activity leaves it sweaty. This is why it is important that we don’t just dip it in water, it is also necessary that we apply soap and try to clean it up thoroughly to avoid a build up of germs which can cause skin infections.

2. BEHIND THE EARS

Easily one of the most ignored areas of the body because it does little or nothing in terms of functionality; however, it is still a part of the body and requires attention during shower due to its location. The ears are on the lower part of the head, so it’s easy for sweat to drip down on them from the head.

3. THE ARMPIT AND PUBIC REGION

The armpit and pubic region are grouped together because they’re both very hairy places on the body. It’s easy for sweat to build up there and that can give room for bacteria to come in. Apart from that, hairy parts of the body are known to attract lice, because they’re hidden. This is why you must give more attention to your pubic regions during your bath.

4. THE BACK

A lot of us tend to totally ignore the back during shower because it’s a bit out of reach, and our hands can hardly get to it to clean it well enough, but that is not right because it is still a part of the body, and can get sweaty too, so we must give it necessary attention. The back is the main part of the body where you get eczema, and that is because of inadequate washing.

5. THE KNEES AND ELBOW

These parts of the body are built to withstand anything, and that is why we sometimes subject them to all manner of surfaces. Sadly, we do not remember to wash them properly during shower.

6. THE THIGHS

The thighs are a part of the legs, which is one of the most used body parts. When we walk, they rub together, and that makes it easier for sweat to fill them more than other areas of the body. If not washed thoroughly during shower, they can become a ‘fertile ground’ for all manners of skin infections.

7. THE NAVEL

Have you ever wondered why some people’s belly buttons look irritating and different from other parts of the body? It’s because a lot of people forget it’s there, so they don’t give it thorough cleaning in the bathroom. If you’re guilty of this, you must change that habit because it is not a healthy one.

8. IN BETWEEN THE TOES

Whether or not you wear shoes all the time, you’re not safe from contracting deadly bacteria if at the end of the day, you do not wash your feet and in between the toes properly with soap and water. Sweat can lead to a build up of bacteria that cause smelly feet.

Please, share this with those you care about.
