8 MAJOR CAUSES OF RELATIONSHIP FAILURES

How many times have you had such moments where you meet a very charming partner, you fall in love and everything just feels right at the beginning? And in your mind you’ve gotten it right this time — you’ve finally met Mr/Miss right.

But you know how the script ends after all – a breakup.

So what happened again this time? Why another breakup when everything started out so fine? Is it you or your partner at fault this time?

There are many reasons that lead to loads of relationship failures, and I’d discuss eight of them.

1. HIGH EXPECTATIONS

We all love a happy ending, we are endeared to the imagination of a perfect partner and to this effect we bring that even to our relationships without knowing. Before you say yes to a partner, or before you ask a partner to date you — there’s this overly high expectations of them and what they ought to do when they eventually come into your life — sometimes they are even pictured as flawless, which is in stark contrast to how you see them, weeks or months after entering the relationship proper with them. If you aren’t careful from then henceforth, the relationship would be doomed to fail — high expectations kill relationships.

2. POINTING ACCUSING FINGERS

This happens a lot — it’s your fault and it’s your fault — meaning there is no one ready to take responsibility. If couples don’t learn to cohabit and apologize when at fault, the relationship would most definitely suffer.
