Most men these days see going to the gym and having six-packs as being a real man. Really? Who told them that?
As men, it’s important we stopped tying our masculinity to being the strongest guy in the room. That doesn’t make you a real man.

1. A REAL MAN IS RELIABLE
A real man isn’t inconsistent; he is someone you can always count on no matter the situation. A real man shows regard for the feelings of others and he is someone you can rely on.
2. A REAL MAN DOESN’T ASSAULT WOMEN
I hear stories of women being assaulted physically and sexually by men. Such men can’t be called real men. A real man would never assault a woman no matter what. A real man would protect a woman and not assault her.
3. A REAL MAN HAS GOOD MANNERS
Real men don’t sag trousers and talk rudely to elderly people. A real man has good manners. A real man won’t be seen sagging his trousers or talking rudely to an elderly person. A real man knows the value of etiquette. A real man knows the value of treating a woman right.
4. A REAL MAN HAS SET OF VALUES HE LIVES BY
If you don’t have set of values you live by, you can’t call yourself a real man. A real man won’t sacrifice his integrity just to seek the approval of people around him. A real man stands by what he believes in, even if he stands alone. A real man who believes women should be treated right would stand against other men treating women wrongly.
5. A REAL MAN RESPECTS WOMEN AND DON’T SEE THEM AS OBJECTS TO BE CONQUERED
I feel real sad when I see men brag about the number of women they have slept with. Sleeping around won’t make you a real man. Real men don’t see women as objects to be conquered. Real men don’t count how many women they have slept with.
6. A REAL MAN IS KNOWLEDGEABLE
A real man should be well-rounded in other fields. Real men seek knowledge. Real men read books to become very knowledgeable even in fields outside their careers.
7. A REAL MAN IS FASHIONABLE
Some men see fashion as a woman’s field and think men should dress shabbily. This is so wrong. A real man should care about his appearance. A real man should wear good clothes and look presentable always.
