Anger is an emotion that you should be wary of; doing some certain things when angry can be met with grave consequences which you’d forever regret.

Anger comes with a rush of blood, and you ought to be careful what you do or say when you are angry.

These are some of those things you shouldn’t do when angry.

1. DON’T MAKE AN IMPORTANT DECISION

Never make an important decision when you are angry or you might end up regretting it for a very long time. Before making an important decision, make sure your emotions are in check and you’re in control of yourself.

2. DON’T VENT ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Don’t go down this lane when you’re angry, because this is one of those things you can’t take back. What you do on social media stays on social media; don’t take your personal life to social media — not everyone on social media cares about you or how you feel — some will only ridicule you and make a mockery of you.

3. DON’T DRIVE

Driving when you’re in a rage is one of those terrible decisions you can make. Researchers have found that angry drivers get tunnel vision when driving, and this could make them lose focus.

Driving when you are angry can lead to something terrible.

4. DON’T DRINK ALCOHOL

Don’t reach out for alcohol when you are angry. Alcohol lowers inhibitions by acting on the frontal lobes of the brain, which are responsible for controlling the impulses that prevents us from giving in to urges that’ll make us harm others or ourselves.

Alcohol will only make you act out of anger.

5. DON’T REACH FOR FOOD

It could be quite unhealthy to reach for food when you are angry. When you do this, you’d tend to eat more of junk foods and unhealthy foods which won’t be good for you.

You can’t eat healthy when you are angry.

6. DON’T KEEP ARGUING

Staying in an argument when you are angry could push you to say mean things that you wouldn’t ordinarily say. Arguing when you are angry is never advisable, and some of the things you’d say could be hurtful things you don’t even mean, and you can never take them back.

7. OBSESSIVE THINKING

Continuously thinking about that angry incident wouldn’t solve a thing; it would only steal your peace, make you sad, worried and depressed. When you continue to ruminate about a scene that made you angry, you only kill your peace and make your heart heavy.

Try as much as possible to avoid these seven things when you are angry.
