7 RIDICULOUSLY HIGH STANDARDS THAT KEEP MANY PEOPLE SINGLE

Having standards is very important when seeking for a partner but having a ridiculously high standard might keep you single.

There are certain qualities many seek in a partner that isn’t really necessary. You only complicate things for yourself when you do this.

Here are 7 ridiculously high standards that keep many single

1. HE MUST BE TALL

I know many ladies who consider height an important factor when choosing a partner. If you aren’t 6 feet tall, she won’t even look your way. It’s important to note that height will never guarantee your happiness in a relationship.

2. SHE MUST HAVE CURVES

So many men make this an important factor when choosing a partner. They expect their partner to have curves like Kim Kardashian when choosing a partner. If she doesn’t have those curves, he won’t even consider her. Having a woman with all the curves in the world won’t guarantee a happy relationship.

3. HE/SHE MUST BE WELL SETTLED IN THEIR CAREER

Most guys or ladies will never date anyone who is just starting to climb the ladder in their career. They want a partner who is very settled in their career and has all the money to spend. What should matter to you is that your partner is hardworking and focused. Stop wasting time waiting for a partner who is settled in his/her career.

4. HE/SHE MUST COME FROM A RICH HOME

The earlier people start thinking of making their own money, the better for them. It’s really wrong to marry someone because he/she comes from a rich family. You lose your respect when you do this and you make the pool of prospective partners available to you very small.

5. HE MUST HAVE SIX-PACKS

Many ladies now expect a man to have six-packs before they even consider him and this is so wrong. I really don’t understand how a man’s body will guarantee your relationship last. Instead of seeking for a man with all the packs in his body, you will be better off seeking for a man who respects you as a woman.

6. HE/SHE MUST HAVE AN AMAZING VOICE

I have a friend who was so observed with marrying a woman with a great voice. He ended up marrying a woman with a regular voice like every other person and they are happily married today. While it’s good to have a partner that can sing, that shouldn’t be a priority when choosing a partner.

7. HE/SHE MUST HAVE A SPECIFIC PROFESSION

You might be surprised this is on my list but I have heard of several cases where this happened. A friend once told me of a guy he met who was obsessed about getting married to a doctor. The problem with doing this is that you end up overlooking important qualities a partner should have.
