6 WAYS TO WORK FASTER AND MORE EFFICIENTLY

We all have 24 hours, but how we use it really matters, and it determines how successful or unsuccessful each day would pan out.

There are certain steps if take would make you more effective.

1. FOCUS ON A TASK AT A TIME

Focusing on one task at a time is way more efficient than multitasking. The brain is built to function at performing one task at a time. When you try to do three or more things at the same time, you’re prone to errors. Also, moving from one task to another without completing any would leave your work haphazard and unorganised. Create a list of all the tasks you ought to do ranging from the most important to the least important, and work your way through it in order of priority.

2. BE FOCUSED

The reason many people are slow at work is because they lack focus. Keep your mobile phone away from sight, it could be an evil distraction; quit unnecessary chattering with colleagues, it would only slow you down. Let your mind and focus be on how to complete the task at hand. You work faster and more efficiently when you’re focused.

3. BE TIME CONSCIOUS     

Being time conscious is another effective way to be fast and efficient in your work. Set a time frame for each work; this would make you focused and cut on distraction. You might struggle to keep to time at first, but after a while you would become effective at it. Managing your time properly is a good way to be efficient at work.

4. TAKE BREAKS

Your body isn’t a log of wood; it needs a bit of rest to recharge. Take short breaks of about 5 to 15 minutes, and be sure to time yourself, else you would end up staying away for long periods.

5. HAVE A TO-DO LIST

Having a schedule list of what you would do each day at work would help keep you organised. Begin the list with the highest priority task to the least priority task; having an idea of what you ought to do each day would help keep you organised and put away confusion.

6. HAVE A FREE WORK SPACE

Having an organised work space is also important for your effectiveness at work. Put away items that you don’t really use; keeping your desk in a way you can easily access anything you need would save you time of searching for things. Being organised would give you the mental edge to be fast and efficient at work.
