Planning for a wonderful wedding is nice but you should know having a wonderful wedding doesn’t guarantee a wonderful marriage.

1. EXPECTATIONS
What are your expectations for your marriage and do you know your partner’s expectations for the marriage? Knowing this is important if you want a successful marriage. So before planning for your big wedding, it’s important you and your partner discuss the expectations you both have for the marriage as this would help you both be on the same page.
2. YOUR SPOUSE ISN’T A MIND READER
It’s wrong to always expect your spouse to know what you are thinking or how you feel. You should remember you got married to a partner and not a mind reader. When there is something on your mind which is bothering you, it’s expected you discuss it with your partner and not expect your partner should know. While it would be nice to have a partner who knows how you feel at all times, you also need to understand that it is an unrealistic expectation.
