6 REASONS TO MAKE THIS VALENTINE’S DAY COUNT

There are many stories about St Valentine which led to the naming of February 14th as Valentine’s Day, and is a day marked all over the world as one for love.

It’s obvious that the Valentine’s Day has really come to stay; it’s seen as a romantic day and a day to show love.

I have quite a few reasons why couples should make this Valentine’s Day special, and one they would remember for a long time, at least until the next February 14th.

1. IT’S NOW SYMBOLIC, ESPECIALLY FOR THE LADIES

The Valentine’s Day is now symbolic, and seen as a day for love, and the ladies don’t joke with this day. Many don’t even know the reason why Valentine’s Day is being celebrated, but because of that romance symbol that’s been tagged on the day, it has made it special for them. So, even if you as a male don’t care about the whole Valentine frenzy, that doesn’t mean your lady wouldn’t — it’s a symbol of love to her — so make it count for her.

2. THE MOOD AROUND IT

There is certainly a mood around the Valentine’s Day; the dates, the surprise, the gifts, the colour that fills the street, love birds flocking around — these can only be found on a Valentine’s Day. So minus the day being symbolic, it has gradually built a certain aura around it; so if you can’t beat them, you have to join them — for your partner’s sake at least.

3. COULD BE USED TO REIGNITE THE PASSION

You would agree with me that sometimes your relationship just seems to be a shadow of its former self, and there is nothing worth celebrating in it. But rather than sitting in hate, there is nothing wrong in appreciating your partner and building back the passion that once existed. If you need an excuse to reignite the passion in your relationship, then make this Valentine’s Day count.

4. CELEBRATING YOUR LOVE LIFE WOULD KEEP THE SPARK ALIVE

Celebrating your partner or your love life would keep the flames burning in that relationship. At least, I’m sure it’s better than not celebrating it. Those simple things that are done on Valentine’s Day could actually create a new dimension in your relationship; if your relationship was growing strong before, it could grow stronger, and if it was in pieces before, then this is a chance to start afresh — make it count.

5. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG IN CELEBRATING LOVE

Generally, we should celebrate love every day, but since the world has even given a reason to celebrate love on a particular day, there actually isn’t anything wrong in it. Make this Valentine’s Day count, celebrate love with the special people in your life; if there is anything worth celebrating, love is.

6. MAKING YOUR PARTNER HAPPY IS ALSO A PLUS

As far as you don’t spend the other 364 days neglecting your partner then making that special person in your life happy is also a plus. Make your partner feel on top of the world this Valentine’s day, put a smile on the face of that special person, share memories that would last a lifetime, and most especially be happy.

Make every day in your relationship count. They say life is too short, but it isn’t too short to celebrate being in love with your partner – is it?
