The risks associated with some jobs are high, and irrespective of the pay, some of those jobs might not be good for your health.

These are some of the jobs that are dangerous to the health.

1. OFFICE WORKERS

Nine-to-five might be the official working hours for many, but research has shown that this poses many health risks in the life of a working adult. Sitting all day isn’t good for your body and posture, and a sedentary lifestyle comes with the risk of heart disease, obesity, stress and could shorten your lifespan, researchers say.

2. NIGHT SHIFT WORKERS

Workers who spend every night working rather than resting, might not be getting the adequate sleep their body requires, and you know how important sleep is to the body. Sleep is the body’s way of re-energising itself.

3. TRANSPORT WORKERS

Bus drivers, truck drivers, dispatch riders and the lots are susceptible to many of the dangers associated with transportation, and in many cases, injuries and death could be a result.

4. MANUAL LABOURER

Men who are engaged in manual labour are also susceptible to diverse risks. Cases of injuries, stress, body pains and dislocations could come to the fore.

5. Fire fighters, riot police, soldiers, security guards are also risky jobs.

6. Workers exposed to chemicals and all manner of pollutions are also at risk.
