5 WAYS TO CONTROL HOW MUCH FOOD YOU EAT WITHOUT ACTUALLY STARVING

Gluttony has its negative sides, and that includes excessive spending, abdominal discomfort and obesity. We also know that it’s not everyone who eats too much that likes their reality. Some want to stop, but unfortunately don’t know how to go about it. Well, here are some ways to go about it…

MAKE A DECISION AND STICK WITH IT

Making a choice and sticking with it is always the start. Decide how much food you will be willing to consume and your body will readily accept it. It might not be easy at first, but you will successfully see that decision out if you remain true to yourself.

This will also help you maintain your weight long term as you are in control of how much calories you consume and how you make use of them.

Making this decision simply means staying off the excess calories you usually consume all in the name of them being ‘irresistible.’ After your dinner, don’t go for any other meal just because you feel that your body needs more. Make that decision and stick to it.

DRINK MORE WATER

Not everyone likes drinking water while they eat, but it’s not a bad habit. Doctors may advice that it’s best to wait until you’re done, but there’s nothing wrong with drinking some before, during, and after a meal as that would help control how much food you end up taking in. Water acts as a filler. It’ll help fill out those places you think you’re used to filling with food so you eat less.

USE SMALLER DISHES

The bigger the plate you eat in, the likelier you’ll want to take large quantities of food to fill it, and the smaller the plate is, the smaller your food intake is likely to be. Of course, you could go back if you don’t feel filled after the first meal, but that’s very unlikely according to studies because you’d be too tired to.

LEARN TO CHEW SLOWLY

Fast eating, extreme hunger, and poor control are top of the list of the reasons people eat too much. As you eat your food, learn to spend more time chewing on that food to reduce how much quantity you end up consuming. It’s also important to not allow yourself get completely famished before you get something in your stomach. That only worsens the situation.

EAT MORE PROTEINS

Filling your plate with proteins help you fill up quickly and also stay full. A small breakfast of bread, tea, and egg is good enough to keep you running for the day before your next big meal.

Like I mentioned before, the decision to win always depends on how much sacrifice you’re willing to put up with to get it. You can eat less, and achieve that ‘body goal’, you just need to believe you can.
