There are different reasons people get into a relationship; for some, it’s about genuine companionship and friendship, and for others, it’s simply about sex. How can you tell which one you’re in? It’s not exactly easy to tell, but then, with a bit of attention to their behavior you may just be able to. You can even ask them yourself, but then, they may lie, and that could sell you off as overly desperate for affection.

1. HE FORGETS THINGS YOU TELL HIM
Unless he’s genuinely suffering from amnesia, there’s no reason why your man shouldn’t be able to remember the important details you tell him about your life. He may not remember everything (honestly, he’s not expected) to, but he should remember important events in your life, like your birthday at least, that shows care.
2. HE WANTS SEX EVERY TIME YOU SEE
Sex is a major part of most relationships; as long as it isn’t platonic, but then, it shouldn’t be the focal point. As much as you are expected to have and satisfy that sexual urge, you should also find time to talk about your lives. He has to show interest in other things about you, not just your body.
3. HE KEEPS APOLOGISING FOR THE SAME REASON
Okay, everyone is prone to making errors; it’s something that we all do as humans, but then, when you make a mistake, there should be an honest effort toward correcting and making sure it doesn’t happen again. If it happens more than once, it becomes a choice. A man can’t cheat on you all the time, and then, apologise for it over and over. It shows he’s not sensitive to your feelings at all.
4. HE OPENLY DISCUSSES OTHER WOMEN WITH YOU
Sometimes, you are in a relationship with a man with the thought that you’re dating him exclusively, without hearing his position on the whole arrangement. In a situation like this, he may talk about other women around you. When this happens, know that he’s not interested in having anything serious with you.
5. YOU’RE IN HIS LIFE, BUT NOT REALLY IN HIS LIFE
You’re dating him, but you don’t get to meet his friends and family, you don’t get to be there on his birthday and other special occasions of his life, there’s definitely something not right somewhere. Maybe you don’t matter to him as much as you think.
