Ambition is simply a burning desire to achieve or reach certain standards or set goals and objectives. It is the quality of being motivated towards pursuing something of interest.
Ambition is something that every man should possess, as it is what gives real meaning to one’s existence. it is an attractive trait in a person, and men who have it often turn out to be very much in demand. Ambition is oftentimes what brings success. Where there’s no ambition, there’s most likely not going to be anything positive there too.
As a woman, an ambitious man is exactly what you need in your life. This is because he has plans for his future as well as yours. He is the man who can take care of you, and give you proper cover years down the line. An ambitious man will inspire you to bring out the best in you, and try to better himself too. So how can you tell your man has ambition?
Well, an ambitious man is driven, he’s always engaged in something that will help him realise his set targets and goals in life, and he knows what his true priorities should be. If your man has those qualities in him, and treats you right, then, you’re definitely with the right person.
The thing about ambition though is that not all can possess it, because we differ in our personalities and philosophies of life. But always bear in mind that a man without ambition is definitely not your man. So how can you spot him?
1. HE’S COMFORTABLY JOBLESS
Joblessness is not a problem; the problem is being jobless and doing nothing to change that situation. A man who has no ambition would rather sit around and do nothing, in hope that luck might bring something his way, rather than go out and help himself. That is not the way of a truly ambitious man; he gets out, and does something, anything to help him closer to his dreams.
2. HE SPENDS AS HE EARNS
A person who has no ambition does not understand how important it is to save, because let’s be honest, he has nothing to save towards. He is only interested in buying unnecessary and expensive materials to impress people around him, who do not even care about him.
3. HE HAS HIS PRIORITIES WRONG
He has no job or source of livelihood, yet he wants to have a good woman in his life, impregnate her, and ask her to marry him— how sensible is that? Chances are he still lives with his family, and cannot even feed himself, so how would he take care of other people? An ambitious man in that situation would forget about having a baby or marriage, and focus on getting himself fixed first, before adding the extra baggage.
4. HE PROCRASTINATES TOO MUCH
We all have a bit of this habit in us, but it’s very bad when it’s extreme. You cannot claim to have plans for your future, yet you constantly push back doing those things that will take you closer to achieving them. If your man has serious procrastination issues, you are probably in the wrong bus, and you need to leave.
As a great man once said, “the future belongs to those who plan for it today.” Do not waste your years on that person who has no plans about theirs.
